BLUE CRUISE ROUTE

BODRUM – COS – LEROS – PATMOS – LIPSI – KALYMNOS – BODRUM 7 nights / 8 days

Day 1: BODRUM
Boarding starts at 15:30 from Bodrum Harbour. For early arrival we can storage your luggage at suitable place. On the first day, our boat will remain anchored in Bodrum Port for dinner and an overnight stay. Bodrum has a history that goes back to the 12th century B.C. The city was called 'Halicarnassus' and it was the birthplace of Herodotus; the 'Father of History' who lived in the 5th century B.C. The 'Mausoleum' of King Mausolus (350 B.C.) one of the Seven Wonders of the World is in this city. The only structure that survived from the Classical Era is the Amphitheatre. It is one of the oldest theatres in Anatolia with a capacity of 13.000 guests and it is still hosting many shows and concerts for the art-lovers of Bodrum. Another place that you should visit when you arrive in Bodrum is the landmark of the city, the 'Castle of Saint Peter'. It is one of the best preserved pieces of architecture with a history dating back to the Middle Ages. 'Myndos Gate' through which Alexander the Great entered Halicarnassus is another place that you should not miss.

Day 2: COS (KOS)
Following the breakfast, you will be informed about the cruise itinerary and the boat. After the customs formalities are completed, we will cruise to Kos Island. Asclepion, known to be the birth place of Hippocrates, who is 'the Father of Medical Sciences', is located here. All the people from the east Mediterranean with health problems were treated in Kos . Kos; the second largest island of the 12 islands (the Dodecanese Islands) has a very mild climate and very fertile lands. The island houses a 560-year-old tree, a 211-year-old fountain and a 290 km long beach. You may take a quick swim in Lambi Beach which is very close to Kos Harbour. Kos is one of the islands with the best night life. Nafklirou, a street full of bars, is always crowded, colourful, and full of life.

Day 3: PSERIMOS - LEROS
We will start to cruise early in the morning to Pserimos Island for breakfast and a swimming break. Then we will cruise to the beautiful island of Leros. Leros is a mountainous, green island with high cliffs and many small bays and villages. After lunch and a swimming break in Xerakampos, we will anchor at Lakki Harbour or Agia Marina Port located in the east. You should visit Platanos the main city of Leros with steep stairs, narrow streets, and flower gardens. From Platanos you can take the steps leading up the Castle of Leros climbing 300 steps! Rent a bike or explore this island on foot.

Day 4: PATMOS
We will cruise to Patmos Island early in the morning. We will have a swimming break in a bay around the island. Patmos is not a big island, but it is one of the best known. It was here that St. John completed the last part of 'The Apocalypse of John', and this is why Patmos is sometimes called "The Jerusalem of the Aegean". The Monastery of St. John’s towers above the capital, a village called Chora, and actually the whole island breathes of faith and devotion. According to mythology, Patmos was a present from Zeus to his daughter Artemis, goddess of hunting and young women. She was worshipped here in antiquity, and the monastery of St. John was built on her temple. You may have an optional tour to these places. After breakfast, you may have a walk through the monasteries. Our yacht will stay in Patmos Port for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: LIPSI
We will set sail to Lipsi Island. We will have a swimming break in one of the many small islands in front of Lipsi. On Lipsi Island there are beautiful sandy beaches, like Platis and Giolos with their crystal green waters. The capital with its white houses, numerous taverns, cafeterias and restaurants is located in the small natural port. On the island, the Church of the Catopanaghia constructed in the 7th century deserves a visit, along with the Church of Panopanaghia from the 15th century.

Day 6: KALYMNOS
We will take a swimming break in a beautiful bay around Kaliymnos Island. We are going to enter Pothia Harbour which is the capital of the island. The islanders ensured their livelihood with sponge diving for centuries. There are nice beaches such as Massouri, Mirties and Vlyhadia around the island.

Day 7: KARAINCIR - BODRUM
We will have a swimming break at Karaincir on the way back to Bodrum. The return to Turkey will be through Bodrum Port. We will be staying at Bodrum Harbour for dinner and our final overnight stay.

Day 8: BODRUM
The guests will leave the boat with precious memories by 10:30 after breakfast.

Depending on sea and weather conditions, Blueguide reserves the right to make necessary changes to the tour itinerary to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests.

MEALS ON BOARD

As many yachting companies cut back on food service, Blue Guide takes it up a notch.

Our chefs lend their creative talents and vast knowledge of Turkish cuisine. Their creations are simple and delicious, combining a focus on high-quality produce with carefully-defined flavors - perfect for our onboard service.

The menu will highlight the best of Turkish cuisine, allowing international travelers to get a taste of Turkey’s culinary style and culture the moment they set foot on our yachts. Our goal will be to showcase the best tastes of Turkey and the Med, using only the freshest ingredients the country has to offer. Travelers are in for a real treat!

Cruising embodies the best in all aspects of life: rolling waves, clear sea air, sunshine, exotic ports, excellent service, exciting entertainment, and gourmet food! The food aboard gulets is legendary, for its abundance, presentation and palatability. The rear deck of the gulet is the lounge and dining area where you will be served freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, including grilled meats, fish dishes, a variety of fresh salads and fruits and Turkish specialties. Afternoon tea is served with biscuits or cakes. All meals are surprisingly good, healthy and nutritious. Dinner on the aft deck is usually the highlight of the day: a long leisure meal sitting under the stars and listening to the water lapping at the hull of the gulet.

You will never go hungry aboard our gulets! In all cabin charters meals are fully included (except soft and alcoholic beverages), served three times each day!

If you plan to celebrate an anniversary or birthday during your voyage, special arrangements may be made in advance. A special dessert, or a bottle of vintage wine or champagne, will help you create the perfect special occasion memory. Just tell us at the time of your booking!

Many charters will accommodate guests' special dietary needs, such as vegetarian, diabetic, low-fat, low-sodium, low-cholesterol, or kosher diets. Turkish cuisine has lot to offer for those who are vegetarian. Lots of fresh vegetables and fruits are available at the restaurants and on the boat. Please specify the dietary restriction, if there's something that client doesn't eat such as wheat products, sugar, nuts etc. If you require a special diet, tell us when you book your voyage, so we can be sure your voyage selection is able to meet your special needs. In addition, experienced voyagers will reconfirm their special diet requests soon after boarding the gulet.
